during the dry season in the Greater Chao Phraya Basin, the Northeastern, and Eastern regions. The Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) and the Royal Irrigation Department (RID) were instructed to increase water discharge from Bang Lang Reservoir in Yala Province. The discharge volume must be carefully considered to avoid adverse impacts on downstream areas. This measure aims to prepare for the anticipated rainfall during NovemberDecember 2024 in the southern region.%u2022 Guidelines for Water Management in theChao Phraya River Basin During the Late Rainy Season The Subcommittee assigned the Royal Irrigation Department (RID) to manage water levels by maintaining the upstream water level of the Chao Phraya Dam at +16.00 meters above mean sea level.
