Upon completion, these projects are expected to increase water availability by 6,794 million cubic meters,benefit 4.88 million rai (780,800 hectares) of land, provide benefits to 1.88 million households, and protect 4.11 million rai (657,600 hectares) of land from flooding. Project-owning agencies are responsible for preparing and coordinatingall relevant activities to drive these significant projects in accordance with the set targets. Progress and project implementation status must be reported quarterly through the Thai Water Plan (TWP) system.Currently, the Office of the National Water Resources (ONWR) is actively driving the targets of significant projectsfor the period 2023-2027. From 2023 to 2025, a total of 68 projects has already received budget approval. For the remaining significant projects, totaling 136 projects that still require implementation, the Subcommittee on Driving the Master Plan for Water Resources Management and Significant Projects will oversee the progress of project implementationand conduct project screening before submitting recommendations to the NWRC for further consideration.The Office of the National Water Resources (ONWR) has conducted monitoring and evaluation according to the 20-Year Master Plan on Water Resources Management (First Revision: 2023-2037) for the year 2023, as well as followed up on the progress of monitoring and evaluation for the year 2024.
