About the Author
William Pawley: “Big-Bad-Bill” as he is
affectionately known, now resides in Sao Paulo
Brazil. He has had several professional careers
which somehow link up to an amazing colourful life,
living all over the world, each profession building
on each other. His formative years were in South
London, Ewell, Surrey, but at sixteen, contrary to
his parent’s wishes he demanded to go in the Navy.
The British Royal Navy, part of the military fleet.
From a comfortable middle-class London suburban
home, he had decided to try his luck in the world.
As a young marine engineer, he travelled around
the world before he was 18 and subsequently went
