                                                              not meet EU standards. Many overseas adaptors are not
                                                              compliant to the UK electrical safety requirements and,
                                                              during regular fire inspection checks, all illegal adapters are
                                                              removed. Adapters for appliances can be bought from the
                                                              school shop or ordered via the Housemaster/mistress.
