(cont.) During his attendance at Walled Lake Northern, Will completed a "Hi-Tech Intern Program''
for the school district which solidified his interest in computer science and cybersecurity in particu-
lar. Will is grateful to receive this scholarship as the pandemic did not only impact him but also his

family. He has been accepted to multiple colleges and has chosen to attend the HBCU, Norfolk
State University (NSU). He will study Cybersecurity with perhaps a for-way into criminology. Will is
currently attending the Summer Bridge program at NSU to prepare for a successful launch. Will's
personal motto, "Walk with a Purpose" has been his guiding principle as he moves towards his
goals. Because of the assistance of and support received from programs like SKL and the reach and
support that Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity has had this far, Will is encouraged and looking forward to
providing the same kind of support he received to the upcoming generations!

HOW WILL YOU HANDLE THESE CHALLENGES ?

FACING ADVERSITY

Everyone will face adversity and challenges… they won’t go away by crying about it. They won’t go
away by ignoring them. Face them head on, push through them and get your purpose!

KEEPING YOU FAITH

Never once have things turned out for my bad… and that can only be because of a higher power. If
we stay the course and faith faith, things Will work out.

STAYING COMMITTED TO ACHIEVEMENT .

This one is hard… because life is hard… and sometimes it’s tiring. One thing I try to remember is
that if I give up, I’ll never get what I want. Also that slow progress is still progress. Again, if I stay
the course, and keep my eyes on my chosen prize, I can do and have any and everything I want.
