COMMUNITY GREW UP: Detroit, MI

WHAT CAREER ASPIRATIONS: My career aspiration is ultimately be a motivational speaker so that I can
use my voice in any way to bring change within ourselves and the world. I plan to use this degree to
make a change in many lives through the power of my voice. I would also love to be a Communications
Director for a company so that my voice can be heard in various communities a and backgrounds in

America and the world! To speak out and advocate for under-represented groups that are tuned out
and ignored in America.

HOW WILL THE SCHOLARSHIP FROM SKF HELP YOU: The SKF Scholarship will tremendously help financ-
es within college and my family.

ARE YOU WILLING TO COME BACK TO YOUR COMMUNITY AND VOLUNTEER TO MOTIVATE ANOTHER
YOUNG BLACK STUDENT PURSUE GOING TO COLLEGE?:

Absolutely yes! College is a gateway to so many avenues and aspects that you can really take advantage
of in your young years of life. Personally, before going to college, I did not know what I wanted to do
career wise. Though, college opened and exposed me to masses of different career opportunities and

interest. I grew socially, physically, and emotionally in terms of who I am as a person because of college.
I am so passionate about giving back what God has given to me through education. Black kids are too
forgotten about to the education system in America and if I can use my voice to break down this barrier,
I will do so.
