The Company sends quarterly communications to the region of Funai, in order to identify any new encroachment on indigenous lands throughout the country. Considering the importance of this culture, Minerva extended its criteria to in- clude its analysis by satellite monitoring, based on Decree No. 1,775/96, which identifies the boundaries of land traditionally occupied by these indigenous peoples, with the purpose of finding enrouching farms of potential suppliers with in these borders. In response to the equerry, Funai notified in regards to evidence found of encroachment by a rural property into area of indigenous people in the State of Pará. Through the use of geospatial monitoring, it was discovered that two suppliers with a probability of invasion of indigenous lands therefore, a business agreements were not established with.
In this manner, all were oriented to contact the responsible agency with the objective of pursuing further information regarding possible invasion.

In 2017, of the 3,234 suppliers that Minerva Foods analy- zed 100% were selected based on human rights criteria. The practice of sustainability is derived from the manage- ment of properties in accordance with Ibama and with the guidelines of the National Pact for the Eradication of Slave Labor. In addition, the Company certifies that the raw material does not come from properties acquired through land grabbing, deforestation or through the invasion of protected areas in the Amazon Rainforest.
