                          The best way to explain fatigue is to see it

                    as either an ability for the body to work and/or


                    make energy efficiently. The body works as an

                    integrated, synchronous whole. If any part of

                    the body's systems begins to work less


                    efficiently, it will begin  to negatively affect

                    other related parts over time creating a domino


                    effect.  The more parts this domino effect

                    impacts, the greater the symptoms related to


                    that specific problem and the greater the

                    fatigue.  This booklet will cover some of the

                    causes of fatigue and steps you can take to help


                    the body begin to work more efficiently once

                    again.





                    How the body makes energy:






                         The energy used by your body is called

                    adenosine triphosphate. We will call it ATP for


                    short.  The ability of your heart to pump, the

                    neurons in your brain to fire and  your muscles


                    to move all depend on ATP to provide the

                    energy for these acts. As a matter of fact, with a
