very few exceptions, all of the physiological
actions in your body depend on ATP. You can
neither function nor survive without it.

ATP is made in each and every cell of your
body by structures called mitochonodria. The
mitochodria, however, cannot make ATP out of
nothing. To make ATP, your cells need two
major resources: Glucose (blood sugar) and
Oxygen. The glucose comes from your food.
Your body breaks down the food and from this
derives the glucose. The oxygen you breathe in
through the process of respiration.
While this may sound simple, there are
many ways and many places this process can
break down. Lets look at a few.
