“Urban Pathways gave me a chance
to get out of the shelter when I
thought I’d never get out.”
OVERVIEW
The 2024-2029 Strategic Plan is based on
contributions from the Urban Pathways’ workforce,
the Board of Directors and external partners,
including the people we serve. It incorporates data
from focus groups, interviews, surveys, reports and
records. This was an intentionally inclusive and
equitable process designed to bring forth a wide
diversity of voices from across our community and to
engage our stakeholders.
The strategic planning process incorporated the
following key elements should be together before
the bullets.
• A mission statement that identifies our purpose;
• A vision statement that portrays our desired future and
identity;
• Core values that represent our agreed upon principles;
• Our strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats
(SWOT analysis);
• A description of the strategic priority areas and goals; and,
• Objectives and key results (OKRs) designed to close the
gaps between where we are today and where we desire to
be in the future.
The Strategic Plan is a directional guide toward our
desired future. For this future to be realized, specific
actions are required at every level-Board,
leadership, and staff. Urban Pathways leaders and
staff, together, identify and carry-out the strategies
and tactics needed to implement the Plan, under the
broad oversight of the Board of Directors and Board
Committees.
