The purpose of mission and vision statements are to direct the efforts of people in
the organization toward common priorities and goals. The mission statement
addresses our purpose and reason for being while clearly explaining what we do.
The vision statement is an inspiring, compelling and intentional description of a
desired future. Together, the form the basis for a coherent plan, providing direction
and guiding decisions, to implement the strategic priority areas and goals.
