Theme Dining

Theme restaurants have sprung up all over Tallinn in the
last ten years. Being a 1000 year old city gives Tallinn a
lot of relevant themes to play with. Medieval restaurants
started it all and remain the dominant approach. There are
a number of good places in Old Town that have created a
uniquely historical fl avor using special costumes, music,
menus and interiors.

Peppersack. Located just steps from the town hall;
this spacious medieval-themed restuarant off ers guests
both a delightful and historic setting as well as delicious
food and drinks. The premises house the main restaurant,
a grill, as well as a cafe serving fresh baked pastries from
9:00 everyday. Peppersack off ers space for big groups
as well as cozy tables for smaller parties. Every night at
20:00 you can catch an entertaining sword fi ght as part of
the evenings’ entertainment. Peppersack is also known

Kuldse Notsu Kõrts. The Golden Piglet Inn off ers
visitors a taste of real Estonian cuisine. Using traditional
Estonian recipes and locally sourced ingredients, Kuldse
Notsu Kõrts gives its guests a delicious taste of local fare.
Specialties include the restaurant’s homemade cheese,
as well as the “Sausage Feast.” With this plate one can
experience traditional Estonian blood sausage. Just a few
steps off Town Hall Square. Delicious food and a great
