Bruichladdich Black Art 23 Year Old
Nose: Rich and heady with clean aromas of red-berry fruit,
followed by honeycomb and Toff ee Crisp. Bruichladdich
won’t say which casks this has spent time in, but red wine
and Madeira are the dominant characters here.
Palate: Beautiful mouthfeel, brimming with notes of toff ee
and dried fruit – raspberries, blackcurrants and cherries.
Very easy drinking, despite the complex fl avours, and has a
lovely rich texture.
Finish: Th e juicy fruit persists.

Laphroaig 25 Year Old
Nose: A touch of water releases the multitude of diff erent
fl avours. Th e initial sherry sweetness is quickly followed
by the time-honoured Islay peat tang. Aft er this opening
burst of fl avour, there is a smooth fruit ripeness that
complements the tang of salt in the background.
Palate: Th e burst of peat that fi lls the mouth is quickly
restrained by a sherry sweetness that slowly develops into
spicy apple fruitiness.
Finish: Very long and warming, leaving a distinct tang of
islay.
