Math and Science (Grades 5-8)
My 3rd year at AISF has definitely been memorable! We had an influx of students in middle school and each and every one of them brought something special to the class. There were more activities that involved the entire school so the
students truly got a chance to interact with each other. From World Read Aloud Day to Team Building Day to Field Day it was great to watch the older students take on leadership roles with the younger students.
In Science this year, our favorite unit was definitely Cells and Genetics. We got a chance to learn about body systems through hands-on dissections that included a sheep brain, a sheep heart and an actual frog. The students were excited
about inviting other classes in to show them what they were learning. We are already looking forward to the things we will do next year.
