            GuidelinesonR&DPublications

            Oneof the fundamentalroles of ISUin the dissemination of R&Dresults is the responsibility in providing a well written, concise,
            technically correct, and easy to read research report. Researchers should be able to demonstrate good writing skills because
            theresultsofR&Dactivities areassuccessfulasthewriters andthecorrespondingreportsthatemanatefromthem.



            The print and multimedia R&D publications and other publications of ISU are the public face of the University and they have
            significant influence on both public and private perceptions. R&D books, papers or results of original research works such as
            technical papers and notes, scholarly journals, journals of information, newsletters, booklets, reports, posters, training manuals,
            modules, brochuresandanyprinted material intended to betransmitted andcommunicatedbymeansof anydevice or process,
            including theuseof theweb,shall beregulated usingacceptablestandardsorstyle.

            All faculty researchers, administrative and support personnel and students who would like to publish their scientific R&D works
            in anyof the University R&DJournals and Journal of Information of campuses shall be governed bythepolicies and guidelines
            onpublications.

                   a. Editorial Board

            Thereshall beoneUniversityR&DJournalthatshallbeinternationallypeerreviewed.Towardsthis end,its Editorial Boardshall
            be composed of researchers who have published in international peer reviewed journals and shall come from varied fields of
            specialization.

            As a group, the Editorial Board shall provide guidance for the direction of the publication and should communicate on aregular
            basistodiscussandreviewthepolicies, directions andcontentsofthejournals. Theyshall haveresponsibilities towards:
                       a) Theauthorsastheyprovide theguidelines in thepreparation andsubmission ofthemanuscripts;
                       b) ISUasowner of thepublication; and
                       c) Thereaders toadvanceinformation tothebenefitofthepublic.

            AnEditorial Staffshall likewise beorganized to fundamentallyconsist ofthefollowing:

                         Editor-in-Chief;
                         AssociateEditorsrepresenting thesectoralfields ofspecialization correspondingtothecoverageissue ofthe
                          publication;
                         CirculationManager;
                         Lay-Out artists;
                         Cover DesignArtists; and
                         Encoders.


            The selection of the Editor-in-Chief is very critical to the Editorial Board. Reporting directly to the Editorial Board, he/she
            oversees the Editorial Staff and makes the necessary recommendations to improve dissemination of the scientific journal and
            have complete authority over editorial contents within the defined scope of the scientific journal. He/she should possess a
            generalscientificknowledgeoftheareascoveredinthejournal;havetheskill intheartofwriting,editingandcriticalassessment;
            and establish policies and procedures in the submission, processing, evaluation and consequently publication of the scientific
            journal.
