Fjoy for everyone. To enhance the
values of rich culture and traditions
among little ones, Delhi Public School
Jammu organized a special assembly to
celebrate Dusshera and Gandhi Jayanti
on 30th September, 2022. The assembly
bagan with a morning prayer followed
by thought of the day and pledge. The
message that good always triumphs over
evil was conveyed beautifully through the
speech given by Mayra Targotra. Students
of Class III enthusiastically recited poems
on the festival Dussehra. Beautiful dance
performance by the students of Class
II was also witnessed leaving everyone
spellbound.
While in Pre-Primary wing,
Gandhi Jayanti was celebrated with great
enthusiasm and fervour. The Assembly
began with floral a tribute to Gandhi
ji by Principal-DPS Jammu, Ms. Ruchi
Chabra, Ms. Meenu Gupta, Headmistress
and Coordinators. School prayer was
presented by Sachika Kohli of class I-H.
Thought of the day was presented by Shivanya of class I-H. Gitansh Mehra of class I-J extolled the great
virtues of Bapuji’s in his poem “ Bapu Bhole Bhale the.”
With great enthusiasm the students of Pre-Primary wing presented a small skit “Lessons of Gandhi
Ji,” giving the glimpse of Bapu ji’s life struggle and achievements. The final crescendo was built when a
musical dance “Bande Mein Tha Dum” was presented, bringing everyone to their feet with pride and
happiness.
