INTER-SECTION POEM RECITATION
COMPETITION FOR THE CHILDREN OF CLASS II
o spread the fragrance of poetry among the children, Delhi Public School Jammu organizes Inter-
Section English Recitation Competition for the children of Class II. The children participated with
Tfull enthusiasm and recited the rhymes with proper actions, expressions and voice modulation.
Different topics were chosen such as National Heroes, Childhood, My Favourite Person and When I am
Old. The aim of the competition was to provide a platform for the students to showcase their talent and
to enhance their confidence and public speaking skills. The participants were judged on the parameters
of their presentation, content, confidence level and body language.
The first prize was bagged by Alankrita Sharma (II–K) & Hargundeep Singh (II-G), the second
prize was bagged by Sanvi Sharma (II-G) & Vaibhavi Thakur (II–L) while the third position was bagged
by Gopal Sethi (II-D) & Raqeeb-Ul-Haq (II-J). The consolation prize was also given to Shivang Verma
(II-H) & Parth Vuthoo (II-D). The competition was adjudged by Ms. Kamni & Ms. Gunjan.
