INTER-HOUSE DECLAMATION

COMPETITION

elhi Public School Jammu organized an Inter-house Declamation Competition for classes
VI-VIII on 26th August 2022 to hone the oratory skills among the students. This activity was
Dheld under the banner of “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” programme which is an initiative of the
Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of independence and the glorious history
of its people, culture and achievements. The participants had to select excerpts of speeches of famous
Freedom Fighters or Political Leaders. The children were in high zest and zeal.
Among the speakers, Taransh Mahajan (VII) from Yamuna House bagged first position, Kashvi
Arora (VIII) from Chenab House bagged second position, while Gurleen Kour (VII) from Ganga House
bagged third position. Mhotsav Gandotra (VI) from Ganga House was awarded consolation prize.
The bar was extremely high for the competition, wherein, each participant could feel their pulse
roaring as everyone was well prepared, spoke confidently with expressions and excellent diction.
