SUMMER FIESTA
elhi Public School Jammu organized ‘Summer Fiesta’ in virtual mode for the students of classes
Pre-Nursery to VIII on 31st May, 2022. A plethora of activities were organized for the students.
DThey participated in the Summer Fiesta very enthusiastically.
Little ones of Pre-Nursery painted their world Red with various Red Day activities .They started the
fiesta by finishing a bowl full of their favourite red fruit, after getting the energy they blew red balloons
to come out as winners. Then they did finger tipping in the cut outs of their favourite fruits. Students of
class Nursery had great fun when they participated in “Finish your breakfast” and “Get ready for school”
activities. They exhibited skills of doing things on their own while having fun. Students of Prep were not
far behind when they gave a glance of their creativity by making paper fans in an Origami Activity. The
students of class first created some amazing pieces of creative pen stands while using the waste material
available at home .They proved that things are created from heart but built from mind. Both class Prep
and Class l students also took part in “I Can Do” game where they wore their skates and safety gears on
their own. This game gave a boost to their confidence & taught them to do things on their own.
The students of class II participated in ‘Show Your Talent’ Activity. The students participated
enthusiastically in the activity and displayed their talent through singing, dancing, playing instruments,
drawing, etc. Another Activity on ‘Healthy Drink’ was conducted for the students of class III. Staying
hydrated throughout the day amidst the scorching heat of summer is very important. To inculcate the
habit of staying healthy, an activity was conducted where students themselves prepared health drinks like
Lemonade, Watermelon Juice, Jaljira and different shakes. An activity on making ‘Sprouted Salad’ from
different lentils was conducted for the students of classes IV and V. Through this activity, importance of
sprouts for good health was emphasized.
Students of class VI actively participated in “The Best Out of Waste” activity. For class VII students,
‘Cook Without Fire’ was organized with a view to create awareness about the nutritional value of food
cooked without fire while class VIII students had created advertisement/ family collage/party invitation
using Canva App.
