MOTHER’S DAY
f all the gifts life offers, a mother is the greatest of all; she might be a mother to the world, but
she is the world to her family. To imbibe the family values in the tech-driven 21st century, the
Ostudents of Delhi Public School Jammu celebrated Mother’s Day on 6th May 2022 with full
enthusiasm.
The children of the Pre-Primary wing passionately got involved in Card Making, Hand Printing,
Bouquet Making, and Photo Framing activities. Students of Class II made beautiful cards for their
mothers with special quotes expressing everlasting bond of love and affection for their mothers. Students
of Class III came up with new and innovative ideas for making a beautiful ‘Love Box’ for their mothers
depicting special qualities of their moms which they admire. ‘Crown Making Activity’ was organized
for classes IV & V wherein they made beautiful crowns for their mothers to express their gratitude
and appreciation for their selfless love and sacrifice for their children. They also expressed their love by
writing a lovely message for their moms on it.
Art integrated and fun-filled activities like making Appreciation Certificates, Self-Made Trophies,
and personalized photo frames for mothers were organized for the middle wing students. Students were
encouraged to explore their thoughts and feelings about their mothers and to write and express freely and
creativily with little concern about making mistakes. In the spirit of the special day, the students of classes
IX & X were offered a bunch of activities such as Letter Writing, Mother’s Day Crossword, Fill in the
gap (A SONG FOR MAMA), Mother Day Word Scramble, making Scrap Book of memorable moments
with their mothers, etc. The earnestness of the children attained a new high as they showcased their love
by indulging themselves so deeply in all these activities. It was interesting to witness how lovingly the
shining stars of classes XII extended their gratitude to their mothers by showcasing their writing skills
through writing paragraph responses to the suggested prompts related to the memories associated with
their mothers. The result of the activity was a heartfelt handbook which they presented to their mothers.
