The Judging Process
For over three decades the Dallas/Fort Worth Minority Supplier Development Council
has recognized and spotlighted the contributions of our constituents that demonstrate
excellence in the area of minority business development, advocacy and growth. The
D/FW MSDC renamed its annual recognition of Buying Entities (corporations and
public sector agencies) and Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs), as well as
individuals, to the E Awards in 2001.
E Stands for Excellence
Each year the annual E Awards Gala of the D/FW MSDC honors members, companies
and individuals who have distinguished themselves through top performance,
increased growth and strong development.
Within the D/FW MSDC membership are companies and public sector agencies who
continue to establish increased economic development in our community by engaging
minority-owned businesses in their supply chain. In addition to managing their own
job requirements, many come forward as volunteers and contribute both their time
and talent to the Council’s endeavors. These individuals provide extraordinary
business acumen and leadership in helping the Council exceed its goals and
objectives.
Finalists for the E Awards submit documentation which is judged by independent
judges. Buying Entity representatives select the minority business award winners and
MBE judges select the Buying Entity, Corporate and Public Sector Agency award
winners.
The E Awards showcase the brilliance, vibrancy and excellence of the Dallas/Fort
Worth Minority Supplier Development Council constituents and their commitment to
minority-business inclusion and engagement.
Individual Awards

leadership, vision, significant accomplishments and community involvement. Award
winners receive recognition on stage during the E Award banquet, receipt of an E
Award and certificate, a feature on the D/FW MSDC website and in the newsletter
and ongoing 2017 acknowledgment.
