The Judging Process

                         Individual Awards (continued)

Ÿ Buying Entity Buyer of the Year – A Buying Entity member (corporation or public sector
   agency) buyer, responsible for sourcing within the Buying Entity member's supply chain,
   who has demonstrated leadership and performance results in the utilization of certified
   minority-owned businesses.

Buyers are judged on MBE procurment activity and advocacy as well as personal success.
Award winners receive recognition on stage during the E Award banquet, receipt of an E
Award and certificate, a feature on the D/FW MSDC website and in the newsletter and
ongoing 2017 acknowledgment.

                                 Company Awards

Ÿ Public Sector Agency of the Year – A Buying Entity member public sector agency that
   has demonstrated excellence in championing and delivering real results in the utilization
   of certified minority-owned businesses in their supply chain.

Ÿ Corporation of the Year – A Buying Entity member (corporation) that has demonstrated
   excellence in championing and delivering real results in the utilization of certified
   minority-owned businesses in their supply chain.

The above two categories are judged based upon MBE program content, program results,
use of professional services MBEs, MBE development and leadership and MBE engagement.
Award winners receive recognition on stage during the E Award banquet, receipt of an E
Award and Certificate, a feature on the D/FW MSDC website and in the newsletter, and
ongoing 2017 acknowledgment. NMSDC members have the opportunity to be nominated
for the NMSDC annual award for Corporation of the Year.

Ÿ MBE Supplier of the Year (Class I, II, III and IV) – A certified Minority Business Enterprise
   (MBE) that has demonstrated excellence in the areas of business growth, operations,
   innovation, and commitment to the community. In addition the MBE is active with the
   D/FW MSDC and demonstrates results in the utilization of other MBEs in their supply
   chain.
                   Class I - MBE with revenues less than $1 million
                   Class II - MBE with revenues between $1 million and $10 million
                   Class III - MBE with revenues between $10 million and $50 million
                   Class IV - MBE with revenues greater than $50 million

These categories are judged based upon business growth and development, business
operations, MBE-to-MBE purchases, community involvement and major accomplishments.
Award winners receive recognition on stage during the E Award banquet, receipt of an E
Award and certificate, a feature on the D/FW MSDC website and in the newsletter, ongoing
2017 acknowledgment and a scholarship to attend an executive management course (either
Kellogg School of Business or Tuck School of Business) or an industry specific educational
session. In addition, the winners have the opportunity to be nominated for the NMSDC
annual Supplier of the Year award.
