1 FOREHEAD
                           AUGMENTATION

           Case demonstration

           6. The middle entry point is at the upper forehead close to the
midline. It can be left or right of the midline, depending on the area of
               depression (Figure 10).

Feel for a pulse at the entry point to ensure you do not injure any
blood vessels. Confirm the placement of the cannula at the
supraperiosteal layer by tilting the cannula again.

                                                                             FIGURE 10
           7. Using the non-injecting hand, place a finger above the patient’s
eyebrows to provide resistance and prevent the cannula from
advancing too far downwards (Figure 11).

                                                                             FIGURE 11
           8. Inject Restylane Skinboosters Vital across the mid-forehead area,
using the retrograde fanning technique, until it achieves the desired
               convex shape.
In this case, 0.8ml was administered (Figure 12).

                                                                             FIGURE 12
           9. Massage the forehead to smooth out any bulging (Figure 13).

           10. After the forehead augmentation, check for any irregularity or asymmetry.
Perform touch up treatment (0.2 ml in this case) if needed.

                                                                             FIGURE 13

                                       • Lumpiness may be avoided by deep injection, using a soft filler like
Restylane Skinboosters Vital and using small aliquots.
                                       • The blood vessels on the forehead may become more apparent after
injection which may lead to misunderstanding of lumpiness after injection.
TIPS Manage expectations and advise the patient that this typically resolves
                                         within 2-3 days.
                                       • In case patients experience headache following injection due to fat pad
swelling, prescribe simple pain relief (e.g. paracetamol) and avoid large
volume injections more than 3 ml in one session.
