 CHILDREN BELOW 100% FPL
This indicator reports the percentage of children aged
0 – 17 living in households with income below the Federal Poverty Level (FPL). Considering poverty rates is relevant because poverty creates barriers to access including health services, healthy food, and other necessities that contribute
to poor health status. Often, poverty is intergenerational and
is compounded in communities where current and historic policies have limited access to resources and opportunity.
