4 . Accidents. (2019-20) :

a) The Consequential Train Accidents during the year 2019-20 : 0ne

On 11.11.19 at about 10.40hrs. While admitting Train No. 17028 UP Exp.(KRNT-SC) on to
road No. 4 of KCG station, LP of DN MMTS 47178(LPI-FM) passed DN Main line starter

signal No. 2 at „ON‟ and collided with Train No. 17028 UP Express.

(CRS / SCC/SC‟s preliminary report received on 27.11.19).

b) Other Train Accidents : One.

On 09.10.19 at 16.55hrs. at MQN station, BCM Machine 289 while proceeding from MQN
(Loop line) to MBNR, taken two routes at point no. 7 and rear trolley derailed in sand hump
blocking both Main line and Loop line.

(Cause: Station Master failed to ensure complete movement of un coupled machines
before operating Point No.7).

(SAG level committee consisting of CE/TM,CSE-I & CTM/G&PP conducted inquiry from
12.10.19. Inquiry completed on 17.10.19).
