Advertising, Brand Content and Licensing
The following are just some of the many matters we were privileged to be involved in on behalf of our clients in the advertising, branded content and licensing space:
• Represented FCA US LLC (f/k/a Chrysler Group LLC) in structuring and negotiating a global co-promotional campaign across all of its major vehicle brands (Dodge, Ram, Fiat, Ram & Chrysler) with Disney/Lucas Film in connection with the theatrical release of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”.
• Represented FCA US LLC (Fiat Chrysler) in all aspects of its association with the film “Furious 7′′ and the associated promotional campaign. The action flick marks Dodge’s third sponsorship outing with the franchise, although its product placements stretch back to the first installment, “The Fast and the Furious”, in 2001.
• Represented Jeep in putting the deals together with various stakeholders in connection with a new global promotional campaign across all media for the Jeep Renegade. The new campaign features a #1 hit song called “Renegades” by Brooklyn-based band X Ambassadors.
• Represented the Japanese television animation and merchandising company, d-rights Inc., in connection with a toy licensing agreement for its globally successful property, “Beyblade, with Hasbro Inc.
• Represented Protagonist in deal for PepsiCo to engage Jerry Seinfeld to make an appearance at PepsiCo’s 50th Anniversary party and for John Slattery to record content for a 50th anniversary retrospective.
• Worked with client Endemol in developing branded content for Michelle Phan’s ICON line of branded personal care products and web services and for the Masterchef and Masterchef Jr. line of cooking products for adults and children associated with the corresponding reality television series.
• Represented OglivyEntertainment in connection with Hellmann’s promotional campaign starring Country Star Trisha Yearwood. Also represented OgilvyEntertainment in DuPont’s “Dare Bigger” campaign – that included sponsorship of X Games and short films featuring Torin Yater Wallace and Cameron Zink.
