• Represented Snapchat in development of advertising program
and launch of Discover in-app content platform and deals with each
of the new channel participants for the production of original content,
including a series of licensing and production services agreements for: Literally Can’t Even; Pillow Talk; Start-Up; Under the Ghost; Fritz; The Fat Jewish; Neil DeGrasse Tyson, among others.
• Represented Endemol Beyond in connection with an international channel joint venture to distribute AwesomenessTV in certain global markets.
• Concluded three multi-million dollar deals for Tyler Oakley with Google/YouTube, including a production deal for Tyler’s unique, acclaimed “AuGuest” interview series, an exclusive content deal, and a national YouTube promotional campaign. Oakley is a new client and considered one of the top 25 digital influencers, with much of his activism dedicated to LGBT youth. Oakley is represented by Big Frame Management, an affiliate of client AwesomenessTV.
• Lead outside counsel to the Secure Content Storage Association, a joint venture of Fox, Warner Brothers, Western Digital and Sandisk, in connection with the launch of Vidity, a standard for the secure downloading and storage of high definition video content.
• Represented Oculus VR, one of the leaders in the world of virtual reality, in connection with the formation of their studio and various original virtual reality productions, content and licensing, including the recently released virtual reality film entitled “Henry” which is narrated by Elijah Wood.
• Negotiated several deals for Lions Gate, including its collaboration with Microsoft to develop an augmented reality Capitol Tour site and a mobile Mockingjay app that includes various interactive features. Lions Gate partnered with Microsoft to develop an augmented reality Capitol Tour site beginning with the first “Hunger Games” film.
