FARM MUTUAL REINSURANCE PLAN, 2015 RECIPIENT OF THE DAVID
BORGES AWARD
The Cambridge & North Dumfries Community Foundation are pleased to
present this year’s award to Farm Mutual Reinsurance Plan Inc.
Farm Mutual Reinsurance Plan Inc. (FMRP) is Canada’s irst completely
Canadian-owned reinsurance company. Located in Cambridge, Ontario,
FMRP was formed in 1959 by Mutufarm, personal and commercial insurance
products.
With a donations committee aptly named ‘The Power of We’, it is clear that
giving back to the community is a part of company culture at FMRP. To
encourage individual giving, each full-time employee is allocated $200 to
give to the charity of his or her choice. To encourage volunteerism, each
employee is provided with one paid Volunteer Day each year to support local
charity work.
