Coupling Up and Uncoupling Trailers (ARTICS)

Lift the trailer with the air suspension so that the legs just clear the

ground and reverse back onto the trailer pin until you hear an

audible lock.

Now drive (2 x TUGS) forward twice to ensure you have connected

correctly.

Now look under the trailer into the jaws of the 5th wheel to ensure

the safety bar is across the trailer pin safely.

Note. Apply the vehicle handbrake, RASSoW - 04Q
turn off the engine off, and use 3 Coupling up and

points on contact to climb out of uncoupling Operations

the cab, close the door and ensure

you are wearing the correct PPE
