Mid UK Recycling       Driver Risk Assessment & Safe System of Work


     Use of the Vehicle Torque Wrench:




     This training period is a driver remind and revise session on the Mid UK Recycling transport procedures
     covering the following training areas:



     •Use of a Torque Wrench & Wheel Tightening Training.                                                               Top Bolt Adjustment Nut



     Torque Settings:

     All DAF Artics 700 Nm.
     All DAF LF Trucks 500 Nm.
     All Scania Trucks 620 Nm.                                                                 700 Nm
     All Trainers 620 Nm.                                                                 620 Nm


     Changing the settings:


     The torque wrench has two

     setting marked into its
     measuring table:
                                             To adjust the settings from 620 to 700 (or vice versa)

                                                 use the open jaw spanner that is kept with the

                                                    torque wrench to either turn the top bolt                                                                                  RASSoW 15Q
                                             adjustment nut clockwise or anticlockwise until the                                                              Walking Floor Operations

                                              marked notch comes in line with the top of Torque
                                                                     Wrench Collar.
