Growing up, I had no clue he was my earthly father—a well-kept in-
house secret. I have always known him to be my Uncle Shorty.
"Shorty" was the nickname everyone used when referencing him.

Now I understand why he was my very favorite uncle.

I always looked forward to the road trips and some overnights
in Scranton, Pennsylvania with my Uncle Shorty.
