SEEMINGLY, A VERY DISTANT COUSIN.

We never really connected at any time in life. None! Maybe because

he was so pampered growing up. His parents always dropped

whatever they were doing to aid or answer any request he might

have.

I was always asked why I could not be more like him or Lowell, the

oldest brother. When Richard was old enough, he was being paid to
rat me out on everything. Anything he said was true, and they

punished me accordingly. I still believe I contributed to his wealth.

Customers were another accuser that I could never confront. I would
ask who told them, and the reply was always the same, “Came from

a good reliable source.” Now it was a chance that it was I, but I had

no idea what they were speaking of by the time the crime got told.

All that said, I would still watch his back.
