told the discipler, “I have my dream job. I’m going to make more money
than I’ve ever made. The job requires me to move to a different part of
the country. I’ve only been a Christian for a few months but I’ll find some
believers to have fellowship with when I get there. What do you think?”

The discipler knew that the enemy increases attention with somone
who has just become a new believer and, if all else fails, the evil one
might just give the disciple a new job in another city. What should the
discipler say to the disciple? What would you say?

Stretch One way to get a sense of where God’s leading you
Activity
Two is to talk things over with more mature believers –
people who’ve known, loved, and followed Jesus for
a long time.
So do that.
Consider: What’s a decision you’re facing that could have significant
consequences in your life? Something that matters?

And consider who you’d trust to have a conversation with about that
decision. Who’s a more mature Jesus-follower you’d trust to pray with you
for guidance? Whose advice you’d value?
If you’re unsure who that might be, ask Jesus to bring a name to
mind.
Now make the call. Set the meeting.
As you share with that trusted person, listen for God speaking to you

through your fellow disciple. What might be there for you?
