“For no matter how many promises God has made, they are
‘Yes’ in Christ. And so through him the ‘Amen’ is spoken by us to
the glory of God” (2 Corinthians 1:20).

Let’s talk promises.
Think of someone who made a promise to you and that promise was
kept. Who made the promise—and what was it? How do you feel about
that person—and why?
Jot your responses to those questions below.

Now think of a promise made to you that wasn’t kept. What was that
promise, and who made it? How do you feel about that individual?
Write your answers to those questions below.

Pause to pray for both people who made promises to you. Before you
pray, pause to ask Jesus what he’d have you pray in each situation.
What, if anything, did you hear?
