MESSAGE FROM THE SUC PRESIDENT IV
OF THE CEBU TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY

To the organizers, participants, and esteemed guests of the
19th PIIE National Congress, 11th Research Conference, 2nd AI
Summit and CEO Forum, and PIIE- Cebu 20th Anniversary,
warm greetings from Cebu Technological University!

It is a great honor and privilege for me to express my
unwavering support for this momentous gathering. This event,
which unites distinguished individuals from academia, industry,
and government, arrives at a juncture when Artificial
Intelligence (AI) and digital transformation are initiating
profound changes in industries, not only in the Philippines but
also on a global scale.

AI is swiftly establishing itself as a central pillar in business
strategies and decision-making processes, significantly
influencing our modes of communication and the development
of various industries. Given this backdrop the
discussions slated for this congress are not merely opportune but fundamentally necessary. As AI,
automation and other burgeoning technologies increasingly shape the future of work, it is
imperative that we delve into their broader implications for operational excellence in our country.
The extent to which we can utilize these technological advancements will dictate our ability to
develop industries that are more efficient, sustainable, and competitive. By engaging in research,
collaboration, and continual learning, I am confident that we can not only adjust to but also take the
lead in the era of AI- powered innovation.

I would like to commend the Philippine Institute of Industrial Engineers (PIIE) for your commitment
to pushing the boundaries of knowledge and industry practices, especially on this milestone 20th
anniversary of PIIE-Cebu. Your leadership and foresight in organizing this congress have
undoubtedly contributed to development of may professionals and the enhancement of operational
efficiency in various sectors.

let this event be a reminder that in the midst of rapid technological change, our commitment to
lifelong learning, innovation, and excellence is key to success. I am confident that the discussions,
insights, and collaborations that will arise from this congress will empower each of you to become
leaders in shaping the future of work.
