MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT OF THE
UNIVERSITY OF SAN JOSE-RECOLETOS

I extend my warmest greetings to the Philippine
institute of Industrial Engineers (PIIE) as it holds its
19th PIIE National Congress, 11th Research
Conference, 2nd AI Summit and CEO Forum with
the theme, AI at the Core: Revolutionizing
Business Strategies.

We live in an era where science and technology
make a significant impact in our lives. But today’s
scientific advancements like Artificial Intelligence
(AI) have made far-reaching effects in surprisingly
little time. AI represents the apex of human
innovation and the pursuit to create machines that
can simulate human intelligence and problem
solving.

It is altering industries and businesses, revolutionizing customer service, enhancing
production operations and improving education through adaptive learning systems.

AI is not shaping our future in profound ways but it also posits challenges for us to
reflect deeply about how we can use this power responsibly. In this regard, I am
hopeful that this PIIE event, we will be able to understand and harness AI’s potentials
while upholding the value that it will benefit society.
