The Program under survey
A.1. Description of the Program
The BPA program was offered in order to educate and train people to become competent
professionals and to respond to economic, political, social and ecological pressures that could affect public
administration and consequently the well-being and welfare of the people. The undergraduate program
was conceived due to the Master of Arts in Public Administration offered by the Graduate School since
1978 as a tie-up with the University of the Philippines, Diliman campus.
The changes in the environment which shape and reshape the field of Public Administration
necessitate the revision of the program curriculum based on CMO No. 26, S. 2001. The document presents
the approval of the revised curriculum of the BAPA Program in 2007.
Furthermore, cognizant of the Vision of the University to be globally recognized institution of higher
learning for people empowerment and sustainable development, the department proposed the creation of
