Whipped Tallow Face Cream
Ingredients:
1.1 cup rendered beef tallow (purified, odorless, room temperature or slightly warm)
2.2–4 tablespoons sweet almond oil, avocado oil or Olive Oil (adjust based on how soft you'd like the final product)
Tools Needed:
1.Hand mixer or stand mixer (a whisk attachment works best)
2.Mixing bowl (glass or stainless steel)
3.Storage container (glass jar with lid)
4.Spoon or spatula
Directions
1.Ensure Cleanliness:
Wash hands and sanitize all tools, bowls, and containers to prevent contamination.
Make sure your rendered tallow is completely clean, dry, and free from impurities or water (wet tallow can
spoil faster).
2.Cool the Tallow Slightly (if freshly rendered):
Let the tallow cool to room temperature. It should be soft and scoopable, not fully solid or hot.
3.Combine Tallow and Almond Oil:
In your mixing bowl, add:
1 cup tallow
2 tablespoons almond oil to start
You can increase the almond oil by a tablespoon at a time if you prefer a softer or lighter cream.
4.Whip It!:
Using a hand or stand mixer, whip on medium to high speed for 3–5 minutes until the mixture becomes:
Light
Fluffy
Pale in color (off-white to creamy)
Scrape the sides of the bowl halfway through to ensure even mixing.
5.Jar It:
Scoop the whipped tallow into a clean, airtight glass jar.
Store in a cool, dry place. It should remain stable for several months.
For extra longevity, store in the fridge—just note it will firm up slightly.
6.Use It:
Apply a pea-sized amount to clean, damp skin.
A little goes a long way. Gently massage it into your face or any dry areas.
