Heifers:
If you plan on exhibiting your heifers at a Spring Major stock show. Once validated, a heifer remains eligible unless breed or ownership is
changed. Original registration papers must be in the exhibitor’s name by Nov. 1, 2021 for Spring Major stock shows. Please bring a color
copy of your original registration papers.
***Note*** if any changes are made on the heifer papers after heifer validation we must contact the state and notify them of those
changes. If the papers do not exactly match the papers uploaded in the system you could risk disqualification if the state is not notified.
2022 Spring Major Stock Show Lamb and Goat Validation
If the August early order deadline is missed, you will still be able to order tags for 2022 Spring Majors, however the price/tag does
increase
TLBA Tags are REQUIRED for Market Lambs and Wether Dams being exhibited at the San Angelo Livestock Show.
TLBA and TGBA will NOT be recorded if they are not in the ear of the animal at time of validation.
A color copy of the registered breeding sheep and registered breeding goats registration papers is required at time of validation.
The Texas Lamb and Goat Validation of Texas is pleased to announce the introduction of the Roll-over Breeding Sheep and Breeding
Goat program.
Who does this impact? Registered breeding sheep, registered breeding goats, wether/commercial dams, and wether/commercial does
ONLY
Who does this NOT impact? Market lambs and market goats
What does this mean? Beginning June 1, 2021, registered breeding sheep, registered breeding goats, wether/commercial dams, and
wether/commercial does will have 3 total years of eligibility UNLESS A CHANGE OF OWNERSHIP TAKES PLACE. This will be offered
during major show validation as well. Put plainly- if you validate for State Fair during the June 2021 validation period, your validation
will be eligible until June 2024, unless a change of ownership occurs during that time- then you must re-validate. If you validate during
the October 2021 validation period for major shows, your validation will be eligible until October 2024, unless a change of ownership
occurs during that time- then you must re-validate.
More information regarding the Roll-Over Breeding Sheep and Breeding Goat program will be released soon.
THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO MARKET LAMBS AND GOATS!!!
