My favorite spring flowers are daffodils – sunny yellow, emerging from the
ground as if to say “Have hope! Spring is here!” After a long winter – and a

season without live performances, due to the pandemic – spring offers us all a
chance to be hopeful for the summer and fall ahead of us. The Phil has weathered
challenging seasons before, and with the support of you and all of our generous
phil-anthropists, we will emerge from the pandemic on sure footing.

Spring is also a great time to consider your long-term philanthropic plans, as you
prepare your taxes and consult with your financial advisor or attorney. In just a
few minutes, you can create a plan in your will that will benefit the Phil in the
future – ensuring the orchestra will remain a cultural leader in the region for

        many years to come.

This spring, we are announcing the formation of the Ovation Circle, a group of
donors who have committed to include the Phil as a beneficiary of a gift in their

will or estate plans. Donors who choose to leave a legacy of music for the next
        generation deserve a thunderous ovation!

“Music has always been a part of my life, I have (poorly) played guitar, bass, and even the Great
Highland Bagpipes. In our free time, my wife and I make it a point to see live music whenever

possible. Being on the Board of Directors for The Phil has given me a clearer picture of what it
takes to bring shows to the public. Without support, we would lose this gem in our hometown.
In addition to being a season ticket holder, my family gives monthly to The Phil and we have
updated our estate plan by making The Phil a 5% beneficiary on our life insurance. It only took

two minutes to sign the paperwork and it gives my family the satisfaction of helping The Phil now
and making sure the show will go on for many generations.”

Jim and his wife Mary are among the inaugural members of our Ovation Circle, a group of donors

who have made legacy giving commitments that include the Phil. Click here to learn more.

If you have included the Phil in your will or estate plans, we applaud you! And if you’d like to learn more, please
contact me – I would love to answer your questions and learn more about what gives you hope for the future.
