Rittal publishes guide to HD enclosures
for the food and beverage industry
The hygiene regulations that govern our food and beverage
companies contained within EU directives are necessarily
stringent to protect public health. Any breaches by the companies can be hugely expensive, in terms
of the cost of product recalls, reputational damage and financial losses incurred while the problems
are fixed. Rittal has published a White Paper which considers the distinguishing characteristics of
Hygienic Design enclosures and how they must align with current and relevant directives,
regulations and guidelines. It considers suitable materials and surfaces, connection systems, angles
and corners, avoiding penetration, and testing procedures. Read more here
Parker Servo Drive family completed
with launch of programmable version
Parker Hannifin has extended its Parker Servo Drive (PSD) family
of products with the launch of a fully programmable drive suitable
for an even wider range of applications. The programmable PSD is
an intelligent standalone servo drive, which is fully programmable
via IEC 61131-3 with runtime based on the widely distributed
CODESYS V3. It is supported with a full set of PLCopen function blocks, which allow fast and
effective set up of motion functions. For easy connection to higher-level PLCs and drives, Profidrive
and CANopen DS402 are implemented. Read more here
