Let’s talk briefly about Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO) and the

role they play in cancer. GMO’s in food were first introduced in 1994 as

a way to correct certain deficiencies in food production. By introducing
GMO’s, larger more productive crops could be attained without many

of the short falls experienced in conventional farming. The motivation
for GMO’s is financially driven, and as a result public health is

oftentimes swept under the carpet in the interests of money (no shock

there).

The following will help you understand, in part, why and how GMO’s

are used: There are significant challenges farming in a world with
depleted vitamins and minerals in remaining soil, while trying to grow

fruits, vegetables, legumes, and grains to feed the population. On top

of those challenges, they have to deal with pests like Beetles, Aphids,
Worms, Moths, Ladybugs, Grasshoppers, Locusts, Fungus, Spores and a

host of Microbial pests, which all create a formidable arsenal to attack

farming crops and profits.

Sadly, what has been mentioned thus far is only the beginning! Let us
add the devastating weeds, which can further choke out much of the

remaining profit, so it's completely understandable that they've tried

to devise ways of eliminating these pests and conditions that affect
modern day farming.
