ALL ABOARD FOR AUSTRALIA DAY, 11th JULY 2019
A Cobh Tourism Event since 2009

1500 Australians will arrive in Cobh early on Friday
morning, 11th July, aboard the cruise ship Sea Prin-
cess to a true Irish ‘Australia Day in Cobh’ welcome.

The words of “Hutch”, the Destination Lecturer
aboard the Sea Princess for her World Cruise 2018
    tell the story:

“All comments regarding Cobh, once again were
positive - I have not heard one negative notation on
our call - the repeat World Cruise guests were quite
happy, along with new visitors who were quite impressed, due to the shops and for
that matter the whole town, giving them a traditional “Welcome” - No other port on
our World Cruise itinerary carried out such a welcome.”
Cobh Tourism is already working on a programme of events which will this year also
incorporate the annual Handing over of the Treaty Ports Spike Island Flag Raising
    Ceremony in The Promenade

TOURISM SEMINAR SHOWS THE WAY AHEAD
With a diverse expert panel of speakers this Cobh Tourism event was full to capacity.
Each speaker had some important insights to share but in particular Simon Wall, the
architect for Westport showed how that community
captured and capitalised on Tourism with benefits for
                                the whole community.
The vision and enthusiasm of Simon, coupled with
consultation, collaboration and hard work was very
                                evident from his presentation.

Lots to learn for everyone involved in Tourism in
                                Cobh.
