Beach Clean Carrigaloe Sunday 3rd February
Hi nature lovers! And happy new year!

Let’s meet for our first beach clean of the year by Carrigaloe (parking) at 12pm Sunday 3rd.
This is an open event, everyone is welcome. If you have your own gloves, please bring them
with you. Suggestion: bring good shoes and a rain jacket just in case.

If any question, please let me know. If you have no car and need a lift, please feel free to
contact in advance also.

Did you know that the Cobh Local Link bus is still going strong, ferrying people all around the
Island on Monday and Friday mornings? The service is free to anyone with a travel pass, and
the collection service couldn’t be more convenient!
To arrange a collection (in advance) simply call the office in Fermoy on 025 – 51454. Please
support this great little service because if we don’t use it, we will lose it.

Spike Island will reopen this Saturday for weekends and half terms in Feb/March/April. Boats
at 12pm and 1pm Sat & Sun, come and discover our new ‘Shivs & shanks’ exhibition.
And why not make a day of it with a visit to Cobh and it’s beautiful St Colman’s cathedral,
Ireland’s 3rd largest. There is lots to uncover at your Spike Island Cork

New Litter Warden for Cobh
Great news! We have a new Litter Warden in town and to date 13 fines have been issued! Il-
legally dumped bags are being dealt with. Please bin your butts, clean up after your dogs and
do not drop litter on our streets.

We all love our town so let’s show it.
