PHASE ONE - PARKING LOT







 The existing paved parking surface at the Valdosta Country Club was observed to exhibit cracking and
 localized failure in multiple locations due to wear and tear, tree roots, lack of base material, etc.  After a
 subsurface investigation, it was noted that a majority of the existing parking lot consists of less than 2" of
 asphalt with little to no underlying base material. According to the subsurface investigation report, Parking
 Lot 1 was noted to have 5 1/2 to 6" of soil cement base, with the remaining parking areas having no base
 material.


                                                            The proposed parking
                                                            lot layout increases the
                                                            size of the parking
                                                            spots as well as the
                                                            drive aisles. The
                                                            construction will
                                                            include a new layer of
                                                            base material as well
                                                            as a new asphalt
                                                            course, suitable for the

                                                            anticipated traffic
                                                            flow.  Additionally, the
                                                            exhibit displays all new
                                                            18" curb and gutter,
                                                            both new and
                                                            revitalized interior
                                                            islands, as well as the
                                                            addition of two new

                                                            gates at entrance/exit
                                                            locations. The
                                                            proposed layout
                                                            provides a total of 192
                                                            parking spots, with the
                                                            option of overflow
                                                            parking adjacent to
                                                            the pool area and cart
                                                            barn.
