would do as well or better. Some practice examples using the
checklist will prepare them to describe relevant practice effec-
             tively. And that’s about all.
So here is what the module should include:

             List of Module Content:

                • The objective
This is what you need to be able to do . . .

                • Skill check description
                   Here’s how we’ll check your competence . . .

                • Description of relevance (rationale)
This is why this skill is important to you . . .

                • Explanation of the procedure and examples of the final
product of the performance (i.e., some relevant practice
                   descriptions)
                   Here’s how it’s done . . .

                • Practice with a series of objectives
                   Now it’s your turn . . .

                •Skill check
                   Let’s find out how well you’re doing . . .
The easiest way to learn the skill of content derivation is to
practice by applying the procedure to someone else’s objec-
tives (quietly and discreetly). That way you’ll get to practice the
skill without having your ego bruised at the same time.
