3. Debate Assignment
Description: Students are divided into two teams to
debate a controversial topic. Each team must develop
supporting arguments and counterarguments, along with
gathering relevant evidence. The debate is conducted in
class, and each team must defend their arguments and
respond to counterarguments from the opposing team.
Objective: To encourage critical thinking and the use of
strong evidence in responding to opposing arguments,
while also strengthening public speaking skills.
Assessment: Evaluated based on the strength of
arguments, relevance of evidence, and effectiveness in
addressing counterarguments.
