Greeting Remarks

Hello. I am a professor Sungmi Bae, the art director of the operating committee for MIAF 2023 K-ART SHOW
SEOUL.

Myeong-dong International Art Festival, now in its 8th year, is an art festival with the local identity of Myeong-
dong, a distinctive art festival that has played a great role in reemerging Myeong-dong as an international
attraction which is a center for culture and art with tourist special zones and high-tech cultural tourist streets,
leading the history and creative industries of Myeong-dong.

After taking over as the art director of the 7th Myeong-dong International Art Festival in 2019, it is truly an honor
to host the art festival from November 30 (Thursday) to December 3 (Sunday) in 52 rooms on the 26th and 27th
floors of the main tower of LOTTE Hotel Seoul in Sogong-dong.

With the motto of "K-Art, from Myeong-dong to New York and to the world!", the festival has more than 400
artists and 2,000 works in 52 booths, including more than 40 domestic and international galleries, Korean artists
from around the world and internationally renowned American artist Allison Zuckerman as well as rising Korean
artists. We hope you will enjoy the best works in MIAF 2023 K-ART SHOW SEOUL and have the pleasure of
owning them. Thank you.
