Greetings

We are very pleased to be co-hosting the ‘2024 New Silk Road International Academic Conference’ Malatya Korean
Culture Days’ in Malatya Province, located in the Euphrates, the birthplace of human civilization, with Malatya
Metropolitan and AFAD of Malatya Province.
Turk Korea Cultural Exchange Education Health Arts and Sport Association built the KOREPCK container village and

operated a cultural center in Malatya, which was severely damaged by the Kahramanmaras earthquake on February
6, 20203, to help comfort the earthquake victims and find new vitality. As such, this event will be a venue for exchange
and cooperation between Korea and Turkey, which is very meaningful in many ways.
The theme of the 3rd Cappadocia Academic Conference, ‘Creation and Diffusion of Culture’, will look back on the
significance of the culture formed around the Euphrates River and its spread to humanity. Furthermore, we hope

that this will be an academic breakthrough that seeks to find additional values for humanity by looking back on the October, 2024
formation process and extinction of various cultural elements that contribute to the creation and diffusion of culture.

In addition, we are very pleased to co-host the ‘Theme: Harmony and Joy’ art exhibition with the Art Pohang
Committee. We are confident that this will become an important ATR Road that will expand the aesthetic exchange
formed at the eastern and western ends of Asia.
We hope that Malatya citizens who have encountered new cultures through the experience of traditional Korean
culture, Kimbap, and K-pop competitions will create a new cultural breakthrough, and we hope to cooperate with Korea
to create a valuable culture that humanity can pursue.
We would like to thank the scholars and artists who participated in this event for sharing their valuable academic
insights and aesthetic values, and we hope that they will continue to lead more successful lives.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the officials of the organizations who worked hard and dedicated

themselves to make the event a success.
