Finding Happiness Amidst Difficult Times!
Psychology Society celebrated the first day of
Psychology Days 2021 last on 29 April with the theme,
"Finding Happiness Amidst Difficult Times." Various
activities were organized and planned by Psychology
Society officers and student volunteers to ensure that
the events will be memorable for everyone. A
Thanksgiving Mass facilitated by Fr. Joseph Gil Alonso,
was the first activity of the Psychology Days. It was
held to give thanks to Almighty God for guiding and
protecting each and everyone, and also to seek His
blessing for the success of the Psychology events.
The Opening Ceremony for the first day of
Psychology Days followed right after the Thanksgiving
Mass. It was hosted by the Psychology Society officers
-- John Edryck Alvarado and Hannah Corpuz. Dr.
Felma Tria delivered her encouraging and inspiring
Virtual Merientoring Poster and
Opening Remarks to all the Psychology family.
Psychology Society’s Senior Vice President, Rovin Guest Speaker: Dr. Mary Rachelle
Carpiso-Batanes
Ramas, also gave an overview of all the activities for
Psych Days. It was immediately followed by the oath-taking of the officers, which was led by
Ms. Jorge Balela as the Head of Student Affairs. Right after the oath-taking ceremony,
students from all year levels showcased their batch cheer as part of the fun competition for
that day.
The next segment was the Psychology Talk about
“Finding Happiness Amidst Difficult Times.” Ms. Zenia
Lim Panahaon, the Founder and Lead Psychotherapist
of Halcyon Mental Health was the guest speaker who
shared her knowledge and insightful message about the
topic. It made the webinar participants realize the
rewards of the pandemic that helped us find happiness
and silver lining amidst difficult times.
